Phu Quoc's tourist numbers keep climbing, and Skyscanner noticed
Phu Quoc took in 7.1 million visitors in the first ten months of 2025, up 34.2% year on year. International arrivals grew even faster: 1.35 million, up 68.4%, already ahead of the island's full-year target.
The island now handles around 60 flights a day from Korea, China, and the CIS region. Skyscanner ranked it second on its Trending Destinations list for 2026, citing a 184% jump in flight searches, an unusual result for a Vietnamese resort on a global travel chart. Part of the pull is Phu Quoc's visa policy: it's the only place in Vietnam offering a 30-day exemption to travelers from anywhere in the world.
High season runs October through May, when the weather is more predictable and hotel occupancy climbs. Sales for Meypearl, an Accor-managed resort under the Grand Mercure brand, launched into that seasonal demand. Local reporting describes it as the island's only resort project holding a Pink Book land-use certificate, a distinction worth confirming independently before treating it as settled.
