Bali is maturing, and the money is starting to rotate to Lombok
Bali's core tourist belt is a mature market now, and the overflow is visible in where the deals are. Tabanan and Pererenan, both adjacent to Canggu, are absorbing buyers priced out of the original strip while offering the same wellness-and-slow-travel demand at a lower basis.
Lombok is a step further out on the same curve. Mandalika's special economic zone, backed by the AIIB, plus a MotoGP calendar slot and a wide-body airport, gives it the kind of funded infrastructure Bali had two decades ago, at a fraction of the entry price. The rule for both islands is the same: rotate toward where the infrastructure is actually funded, not just proposed.
